Ever since Pantone's controversy-shrouded appointment of
radiant orchid as their official color of 2014, the painting public has been awaiting the next big hue. And the news that Benjamin Moore has named Guilford Green, a silvery neutral, their Color of the Year for 2015 could just be the refresh we needed. A "neutral that's a natural," as the paint company has dubbed it, looks like the beginning of a brights backlash, a ray of light in a sea of moody, charcoal-painted apartments. It really does, as many colors claim, seem to work in any context or with any style of decor. But is all that because it's kind of boring? Check out the
