One of my favorite decorating topics to explore, second only to composed consoles
, is how home owners dress their walls. I swoon over unique frame arrangements
and clever ideas for dressing up a space that require minimal effort and little to no maintenance.
In Georg Kayser's
living room, the ornate frame is art in and of itself, a perfect compliment to the room's crown molding.
Kayser employs the same trick near his corner work desk.
An empty frame can still hang (or in this case lean
) with the traditionally-occupied variety, as witnessed here against the left wall of Kayser's living room. How do we feel about this look? Is it brilliant—or just basic?
