It can be hard to get the creative juices flowing when you're working in an office all day long, staring at a screen. I recently took my lunch hour to stroll through a few of the galleries in Chelsea, on the hunt for inspiration. Here are a few of my favorite spots I stumbled upon:
A wall at the Leila Heller Gallery
featured an array of pieces from Keith Haring, Basquiat, Tee Bee, Matt Trumino and Zigi Ben-Haim...
...a photograph from Nick Brandt’s “Across the Ravaged Land” at the Hasted Kraeutler Gallery
showcased powerful images documenting the disappearance of East Africa’s wildlife...
...Cheim & Read
hosted wonderfully displayed pieces by the San Francisco-based artist Barry McGee...

...and last, but not least, I spotted The Sheep Station exhibit at the Getty Station
. Francois Xavier Lalanne installed this public piece on September 17; it will be up until October 20. What has inspired you lately?
