When you bring together some of L.A.'s most creative ladies to throw a celebratory dinner party, there's no doubt that every element will be on point. So we can't help but steal some ideas from this gorgeous fête, which was held at chic shopping district
One Colorado—home to our most beloved
Mohawk General Store—and hosted by
(No Subject) founder Jaclyn Johnson, stylist-designer
Whitney Leigh Morris, and florist extraordinaire,
Bess Wyrick.
Tiny cupcakes on gold -tone cake stands dotted the single long table.

Mismatch Your Dishes. When mixed with modern gold flatware, more traditional china and ornate glassware feel young and fresh. If you don't have an archive of pretty vintage dishes hanging around for just such an occasion, consider renting your tabletop items from a beautifully curated prop house.
Borrowed blu dreamed up this traditional-with-a-twist set up.
Whole apples and vibrant blooms liven up the punch bowl.

Create a Self-Serve Cocktail. Don't get stuck bartending all night. A pre-made signature cocktail that can be served from a punch bowl creates a casual vibe; serving said libation in unexpected tea cups makes them feel that much more special. Rachel Mae Furman of
Smoke & Honey offered up a fall harvest gimlet, a maple old-fashioned, and the "bobbing for apples" rum concoction, seen above.
Knit shawls were placed on seat backs for chilly guests.3.
Forgo Traditional Floral Arrangements. The literal and figurative centerpiece of this fête was no doubt the 60-foot garland that lined the table. This bold singular statement of flower power makes even the longest table feel cohesive and well-planned. Wyrick's
Celadon and Celery chose coral peonies, peach amaryllis, red peonies, and yellow roses for the blooms, and added fruit (persimmons and lemons) to evoke an unexpected tropics-meets-harvest vibe.
