Cocktail Hack: How to Make a Honey Deuce for the U.S. Open

Toast her majesty Serena with the unofficial official drink of this week's grand slam.

The US Open is know for being the cool kid among tennis's four major championships. Night matches under the bright lights of Arthur Ashe stadium continue into the wee hours of the morning. The notoriously spirited New York fans are loved by the players (and hated by chair umpires). And everyone is enjoying the series' signature drink: the boozy, fruity, wonderfully punny Honey Deuce.

Whether you're heading out to Queens, hosting a viewing party, or just live streaming the action from your couch, if you're planning on watching her Royal Highness Serena of House Williams make some history this weekend, you should also most definitely be sipping on this delightful cocktail. And if you're doing one of the last two, you should also screenshot our time-tested (we made it earlier this week) and essentially foolproof (again, we made it earlier this week) unofficial recipe.

The Honey Deuce, Hacked

Honeydew, balled

Grab a high ball glass.

Add a shot and a half of your vodka of choice. (Grey Goose is the official brand of the US Open if you want to be proper, but this isn't Wimbledon.)

Add one shot of Chambord.

Fill up your glass with lemonade.

Drop in some ice if there's room, but really let's keep our priorities straight.

Top with a few skewered balls of honeydew.
