Below, a few decorating questions I've recently been asked by my own friends.

1. Where do you recommend looking for chic yet durable living room pieces for families with young kids?
I’m a big fan of soft-scale furniture with a modular aspect so my toddlers can run around my living room (which has to double as their playroom). Instead of a coffee table, we use four cowhide ottomans from Arhaus, which also work as extra seating when we’re entertaining.

2. What’s a fresh way to mix prints for spring?
I love Rebecca Atwood’s new fabric by the yard and have my eye on either her Painted Stripe or Marble Sea Blue for drapery in my bedroom. I’m hoping to pull off Eskayel wallpaper in the same space—maybe behind a neutral headboard.

3. What’s a timeless color palette for an outdoor space?
Black, white, and green give an outdoor entertaining area a crisp and polished appearance. It works really well on my Brooklyn rooftop patio and gets taken to a much grander scale at the home of our next cover star. See her gorgeous home and family in our next issue, live March 5th!
