Housed in an early 19th Century building restored with reclaimed Virginian wood and materials from local churches, The Playland Motel, located in Queens's beachy Rockaways, has 11 rooms decorated by a variety of interior designers. The most immersive, and, frankly, impressive? Room 10, conceived by Eskayel founder Shanan Campanaro and Michelle Zacks of Spaced Out.
The sun-drenched bedroom is a serene amalgam of Campanaro's trippy, pastel-tinged prints, and provided the perfect setting for auburn-haired Lonny editor Kaylei McGaw to test run a look from Australian fashion label Zimmermann's Spring 2015 collection. With its flowy shape and whimsical cross-cuts of crochet detailing, the top is not only reminiscent of the room for its pale marbleized pattern, but its undeniably breezy vibe.
