The 25th of December is almost upon us, so we here at Lonny thought it'd be fun to show our readers how we celebrate—and decorate for—the holidays. This year, Lonny's market editor Catherine Dash wanted her decor to feel festive and
fresh. To get the look, she started with a white garland from Treetopia
and a trip to the flower district in NYC, but it all came together when she channeled her love of all things Confetti System
into the details.
Inexpensive mint-green balls (you can get a set of 45 for $20 at B & J Florist Supply Company in New York City), gold cord, and a deep teal ribbon served as the base; she then added fringed tissue-paper clusters done in mint green and gold mylar to fill out the garland. The finishing touch: fresh Ilex winterberry branches from the farmer's market—to add some color—and these super-cool faceted ornaments
from Jayson Home.
And just because she wanted to incorporate her new Nate Berkus vases
into the mix, she wrapped branches—found on the streets of Brooklyn, but don't tell her neighbors!—in gold and mint green MT masking tape
and finished them with more tissue paper fringe.
How are you decorating for the holidays?
