Aside from his cemented status as an Instagram tastemaker, creative director and professional collaboration-haver Patrick Janelle (@aguynamedpatrick) wears more hats than we can count. The Bon Appetit alum founded @springstreetsocialsociety, a series of one-night-only dinners and special events in New York City, is about to launch a spirit-themed app called @theliqrcabinet, and managed to gorgeously make over his downtown apartment—with a little help from @Homepolish's Noa Santos (see his NYC apartment here) and @WestElm. Naturally, both the 'grammer and the brands shared a bunch of peeks into the space on Instagram. Keep scrolling for our favorite pinnable tidbits.
The bones of Janelle's all white space are enviable by city standards to begin with: large windows flood the main living space's hardwood floors with natural light, while a painted-brick wall adds texture without any visual busyness. Major pieces from West Elm in soft neutrals create a vibe that's somehow cozy and airy at once, and leave the spotlight for a gallery wall for the ages. Framed prints, texty art and vintage pieces mingle in a perfectly imperfect arrangement that only a professional cool kid could pull off.
Another favorite technique, layered rugs serves up a major textile moment, balanced by gleaming metallic accents and the epitome of New York living room decor: the wall-mounted bicycle. A tiny kitchen, below, becomes a viable dining space with the addition of a counter height table and a pair of leather sling stools.
Brass accents and bar tools, fresh blooms, and an impressive collection of artful objets—the man knows his way around a book stack—complete the stylish space. It's the perfect home base for the CFDA-recognized creative's enviably chic day to day. Click over to Homepolish for much more of the space.
