London-based artist Robert Ryan first struck our fancy when we saw his work in Cath Kidston's home in our August/Sept 2010 story "Ode to Nostalgia
." His papercuts and screenprints are painstakingly intricate and detailed, yet have a sense of flair and playfulness that offers a frivolous quality to the work. It is this duality that makes Ryan's work equally fitting for a kid's room or the ultra-sophisticated den of Cath Kidston.
