Sometimes I think about what it would be like to live in a hotel for a short period of time, a la Marc Jacobs at The Mercer or Kate Spade at the Sherry-Netherland. Or in my wildest bohemian dreams, take up permanent residence at the Chelsea Hotel, a place so filled with history that the lobby hums with it. An incredible list of writers, musicians, and artists spent time there, from Mark Twain to Jack Kerouac to Bob Dylan. It is now a cultural preservation site and historic building of note. It's known for its grand staircases and amazing art collection, but mostly for its quirky residents.
