Since we could all use a little desk-side inspiration as we start our week, we're debuting our Monday Design Daydream series: a love letter to wherever we want to be right now. First up, Fasano Las Piedras, in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld and the stylish São Paulo–based restaurant and hotel group Fasano collaborated on this spa resort, spread out over 1,000-plus craggy acres just outside South America’s party capital. Unlike the high-volume, jet-set scene around Punta, however, the atmosphere here is chic and simple, and the design reflects its glamorous yet earthy vibe.
The cabins have more than a hint of bunker about them, but they somehow work against the rock-strewn scenery.
