Moroccan Decor Inspiration

Kif restaurant Brooklyn; images by Melissa Hom for New York Magazine

Since moving to New York, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect Moroccan restaurant—one that has delicious tagines and truly makes me feel like I hopped a flight and just landed in the North African country I’ve always wanted to visit. And I think I may have found one—although I haven’t been yet, Kif restaurant in Brooklyn looks like just the place.

I can’t wait to head there myself, but even if you don’t live in the New York area, you can get some great design tips from the exotic decor. I especially love the linen draped from the ceiling and the way they lit the outdoor space.

If you’re truly inspired, make sure to check out Imports from Marrakesh, one of my favorite shops in New York and dealers of beautiful Moroccan tiles, lanterns, and textiles.
