Here at Lonny, we sometimes joke about our fictional brother magazine, Ronny. At Ronny, things like the forthcoming Super Bowl would be a huge deal, with extensive coverage. There might even be a few bets thrown around, or a knowledge of the contending teams that goes beyond their uniform colors. Alas, we are still a design magazine with a staff that obsesses over fabric swatches and unlikely designer collaborations instead of accusations of deflated footballs, so putting together the perfect viewing outfit is about as far as our preparation for the big game goes. Here's what we think you should wear on Super Bowl Sunday, broken down by your team of choice. If nothing else, February 1st is a day for which to prepare with an editor-approved online shopping spree.
PATRIOTS
If the way to Tom Brady's heart is to look like Gisele, we'll humbly shoot for the model's "off-duty mom" uniform. Get the look with a game-worthy sweater from & Other Stories, a heart-on-your-sleeve Red Valentino top, comfy vintage jeans by Chimala, and a cozy H&M overcoat. Add some cherry-red Nike kicks and a bag duo that any red-blooded Patriot would love: a graphic Kotur clutch slipped inside a classic L.L. Bean tote, and you'll be feeling like a supermodel—not to mention a superfan—in no time.
SEAHAWKS
If Seattle is the team you're rooting for, show your colors in style. A Proenza Schouler tee shirt is your subtle hit of Seahawks green paired with slouchy J. Crew trousers and clean-lined slip-ons by Feit. Add an avian-inspired clutch by Fendi and a warm navy Muubaa aviator jacket, and you're ready to hang with the (fashion-forward) boys.
