Here at Lonny, we’re never not thinking about makeovers. But at this time of year—once the chaos of summer travel has died down and just before winter temperatures begin to set in—those projects seem more compelling than ever. On the cusp of a season that brings to mind both nesting and a house full of guests for the holidays, it’s time to tackle those room refreshes you’ve been pondering. We’ve rounded up four of our favorite new resources to upgrade your space that get bonus points for their beauty—which means your makeovers will be easier and prettier than ever.

THE PAINT

Nothing signals a fresh new look quite like changing the color of your walls. In that spirit, Ralph Lauren Paint relaunches with a superior formula and 400 American-made shades. The line includes six lifestyle palettes ranging from Whitewash, a collection of nuanced whites, to Thoroughbred, which evokes the saturated colors of a grand country estate; three specialty finishes (suede, river rock, and metallic); and three faux techniques (indigo denim, antiqued leather, and bright canvas) that come with the necessary tools and directions.

THE HARDWARE

After the success of their first collaboration in 2010, Idaho-based Rocky Mountain Hardware once again partners with designer Roger Thomas (of Wynn Las Vegas fame) for a second collection, Flute. The 14-piece range of door and cabinetry bronze hardware—available in 10 finishes—is versatile enough to work in both modern and classic interiors. Clean lines are paired with intricate grooved elements that reference ancient architectural columns.

THE LIGHTING

This season, Rejuvenation’s vintage-inspired designs, which include pendant and flush-mount styles in Schoolhouse, Deco, and Classic Revival renditions, get an energy-efficient face-lift. The brand now offers some of its most popular fixtures in earth-friendly LED options (i.e., the best of both worlds). You can finally bid goodbye to changing lightbulbs!

THE TILE

Giovanna Masseroni and Matt Taylor, founders of Moonish, credit boats, Maiolica pottery, and a trip to Italy as the inspiration for their two-year-old Brooklyn company, which creates plywood tiles that are handmade in New York, come in 17 of-the-moment graphic designs, and are, get this, removable (renters, rejoice!). Use them in a smaller space as an accent, or go all-out with a statement-making mosaic.
