We dare you to find one person who doesn't go absolutely wild over IKEA's cool collaborations.

And, its latest and greatest team-up is just as good as you'd guess. IKEA is pairing up with California-based speaker company Sonos to create a modern, metallic table lamp and bookshelf boasting a built-in WiFi speaker.

“We knew from the start that we wanted to challenge the traditional high-tech aesthetics," IKEA designer Iina Vuorivirta said in a statement. "The lamp-speaker partly springs from the idea of the fireplace, one single piece that spreads warm light as well as sound."

While the company is without a doubt home pros, it relied on Sonos' expertise when it came to creating a speaker that actually delivers on premium sound quality.

“This partnership has always been about our two companies’ shared passion, values and knowledge," says Sonos vice president of design Tad Toulis.
"IKEA and Sonos recognize the importance of great sound and its potential to positively affect life at home for many people. We set out to create products neither of us would or could develop independently."

Is it a ledge? Is it a speaker? Consider it both.

The futuristic, two-piece line boasts a table lamp and bookshelf, both including a built-in speaker, and both compatible with the existing Sonos app. The aim of the game is to "declutter your home with less devices and cords." You don't need to tell us twice.

The bookshelf speaker can handle up to seven pounds of weight with the support bracket. Consumers are encouraged to attach it to their kitchen shelves, or store it vertically, as a standalone sound bar.

IKEA plan to debut the new additions during Salone del Mobile, in Milan, later this month.

For those already eyeing up the SYMFONISK lamp-speaker for their home office, you'll have to wait a little while longer for an official release date, however fans can expect the lamp to retail for around $179 US, and the bookshelf for a cool $99.

IKEA is set to debut the newly minted pieces later this month, offering design-lovers a sneak peek during Salone del Mobile at Torneria Tortona, in Milan on April 9.
