When you're an artisan hoping to grow your business, it takes a lot of hard work to scale, get visibility, and actually see a profit. That's why Madewell is starting up a new collective in collaboration with the non-profit Nest to help empower U.S.-based creatives. As an extension of the clothing company's Hometown Heroes initiative, this new program hopes to foster a community of artisans by giving them the tools to succeed and expand their businesses.
Each class of artisans will be given professional photography and a platform to sell their goods on Madewell's site, mentorship from the team, increased exposure, and even development grants. From interviews to the ability to engage with customers at events, it's an incredible opportunity for these creatives to raise their profile.
The first Hometown Heroes Collective class includes some incredible works to liven up your space from artisans like QUILTKWEEN, Alex Clarke Woodworking, and Heritera.
