For those who haven't already fallen in love with furniture company Floyd's waste-conscious and easy-to-assemble pieces, you can now shop for them IRL. The innovative brand just set up offices at a brand new HQ in the Eastern Market district of downtown Detroit complete with the Floyd Shop, a showroom where you can test out and purchase all its amazing products.
"Having a tangible space just steps away from our office is extremely valuable for us," explains Kyle Hoff, co-Founder and CEO of Floyd. "Customer feedback is a huge part of how we improve and develop product. We've always had a direct line of communication with consumers via Instagram but being able to learn from one-on-one contact can spark even more innovation."
One of the coolest parts of the brand? None of its pieces require tools to assemble. This not only makes it easy to put together, but also simple to pack up and take to your next home. To show off how quick it assembly is, the shop even has a table station with a large timer that challenges customers to put the piece together under the average time of three minutes. They also created a European-inspired newsstand that houses the Floyd newspaper, a publication that shows the different ways its customers use and live with their furniture.
With an open co-working space right behind the storefront, Floyd HQ has created the perfect spot to help the burgeoning brand grow.
