If you have yet to discover Interior Define, a company seeking to make furniture shopping a bit more comfortable, then allow us to introduce you. A company dedicated to creating a better way to find the perfect sofa for your home, Interior Define offers completely customizable pieces — the color, shape, and design accents like legs and pillows are all up to you! The innovative retailer already has four guideshops (Chicago, LA, Austin, NYC), and now, the brand is opening their fifth location in San Fancisco's Hayes Valley. However this specific location will introduce a new twist on Interior Define's tech savvy take on furniture shopping.
Opening at the end of July, this shop will showcase products by Interior Define and additional digitally native home brands. In fact, a few of these brands are making their brick and mortar debut in this very retail space. The curated selection is made up completely of companies challenging the normal approach to home shopping, including 57st Design, Gantri Lighting, Wright Bedding, Sonos, Minted, Revival Rugs, Fireclay Tile, Barn & Willow, and Snowe.
The Hayes Street shop even has an unexpected entrance towards the back of the store, which leads to a full home environment. As one of the first retail spaces to house multiple start-ups under one roof in a showroom setting, this free-standing, two-story space, nicknamed Studio I/D, will be fully furnished and decorated so that visitors can feel like they're actually in a real home. There will even be trees anchored inside the space. Oh, and one more thing. As a nod to the neighborhood’s rich public art tradition, it's back exterior wall overlooking Linden Alley will soon feature a mural painted by city illustrator and muralist Nate Otto.
Keep an eye out for the opening of Interior Define at 381 Hayes Street. In the meantime, you can learn more about the brand here.
