Need a midcentury design fix but can't wait until Mad Men is back on the air in April? You're in luck if you live on the West Coast. The 15th annual Palm Springs Modernism Show & Sale kicks off this Friday, February 13, with a preview gala to benefit Modernism Week, a non-profit organization that provides scholarships to local students pursuing college educations in the fields of architecture and design. So you can get your fix and do some good at the same time.
Throughout the weekend, midcentury enthusiasts will mingle with top designers and dealers selling furniture, decorative pieces, and fine arts that span the 20th century. As in previous years, more than 85 exhibitors from across the country are also presenting a covetable range of textiles, lighting, jewelry, and vintage clothing and accessories. Don't miss it!
Show hours are Saturday, February 14, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday, February 15, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Monday, February 16, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be held at the Palm Springs Convention Center, 277 N. Avenida Caballeros, Palm Springs, CA 92262.
