Real-life BFFs (and Lonny favorites) Sally King Benedict and Marysia Reeves got together to make a line of swimsuits, and we are squealing with joy at the covetable results. Reeves, the mastermind behind the wildly popular and downright beautiful brand Marysia Swim, called on the artistic talents of Atlanta-based artist pal Benedict to make her Resort 2016 collection an absolute standout. The result? Reeves' infamous scallop-edged bikinis and old-school maillots painted in Benedict's colorful brushstrokes.
As big supporters of one another's crafts (Benedict rocks her Marysia pieces on vacation and Reeves proudly hangs SKB originals in her living room), we should have guessed the friends had a collaboration in the works. Especially because when we went to shoot Reeves' Santa Monica home and studio, some familiar-looking striped designs were pinned to her desk's mood board. And later, Benedict (an early star of our awesome Instagram Story series) 'grammed a teaser of her banded designs in the works. Now that we know what these two are capable of when they put their beautiful blond heads together, we're keeping an eye out for what their next endeavor could be. Resort 2017, anyone? Home Goods, pretty please?
