Co-Founder Shanna Tellerman came upon the idea for Modsy while trying to redecorate her own apartment. We took hundreds of photos in the stores and in our apartment and then we painstakingly tried to imagine how all the pieces might fit together."
This difficult experience lead to a vision of "a one stop digital catalogue that would allow people to imagine, see and buy in the context of their very own home". The company became a reality in February 2015, but the San Francisco-based startup just went public this September.
