Founded by Victoria Vu in 2008, Paper & Type is a paper goods company that believes in thoughtful correspondence. Whether that's a notable announcement or a more subtle statement, Paper & Type's offerings are simple and versatile, mixed with a bit of whimsy. Look out for Vu's posts all month long on the Lonny blog!
So you have your visuals
, your wording
, and an idea of how to pair the two. If you haven't already, now is the time to determine in what form you wish to present your invitation (and all the pieces to follow) to your guests.
Do a bit of dreaming and some research, or discuss with your invitation designer about what possibilities fit your vision and/or budget. Paper-wise, there are many physical formats to explore and print methods to apply. It's important to keep these aspects in mind, as the format and print method will certainly inform the design or vice versa. These beautiful examples demonstrate a variety of ways to carry out your vision:

1. Rubber stamped save-the-date tags [design and stamping by Carina Skrobecki].
2. An invitation suite with (2-color) letterpress and (full color) digitally printed components [design by Studio of Hearts and printing by Presshaus LA].
3. Newspaper invitation [design by Drew Melton] and map poster [design by Belinda Love Lee].
While the paper form is dear to our hearts, perhaps you have an itch to go beyond paper, for reasons that are practical or creative. Here was a paper record player invitation for a musically-inclined couple, and a save-the-date short film by a couple of Wes Anderson buffs. A website could make perfect sense for your wedding too, though you may wish to print out a physical copy to mail to your Nana.
