What is WestEdge?

(Courtesy of WestEdge/Ligne Roset)WestEdge Design Fair is a four-day event premiering October 3 to 6, 2013, in Santa Monica, California at the Barker Hangar. The newest destination for modern design, the fair showcases a curated selection of more than 150 leading national and international brands, many new to the West Coast. Attendees will find design inspiration and be able to shop from leading manufacturers of furniture, lighting, kitchen, bath, outdoor furnishings, and other products for the home. The show caters to trade, press and consumers alike, and offers a complete experience for attendees, including panel discussions and workshops, culinary activities, custom installations, a series of special events, and an opening-night party to benefit Heal the Bay

(Courtesy of WestEdge/BDDW)WestEdge cofounders and show producers Megan Reilly and Troy Hanson bring 25 years of collective experience managing and producing some of the most important events within the design industry, including the Architectural Digest Home Design Show, the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF), NeoCon, and NeoCon West. “For years, our clients and partners have encouraged us to expand with the launch of a design show on the West Coast," says Reily. "Given the demand for such an event, coupled with Los Angeles’ reputation as a premier design hub, we felt the time was right to pursue the opportunity.”

(Courtesy of WestEdge/Royal Botania)Says Hanson: “The goal of WestEdge is similar to that of the event we produced in New York City for the last 12 years—to create a venue where attendees, both trade and consumer, will find resources of exquisite beauty and quality which may be purchased, specified or customized to a client’s particular needs. WestEdge will offer much more than inspiration—it’s a unique shopping experience for those who appreciate exceptional design.” For more information and ticketing, go to westedgedesignfair.com.
